Background
This culvert located on Jimmy Kerr Road was washout by heavy rains back in 2019. The road remained closed while a waterline was repaired that crossed over the existing structure.

Our Solution
A19’-2” Span x 11’-9” Rise Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arch withAluminum headwalls was chosen to replace the failed culvert. It was built on-site in one day allowing NCDOT bridge crews to backfill the structure quickly while they worked around the rainy weather re-opening the road with in two weeks.
