Pond Riser
Corrugated Aluminum Round Riser with Draw Down Device and Gate Assembly.
Details
Vertical outlet pipes (also called "risers") are used to set the primary spillway water elevation in a pond or water impoundment. They also have an outlet barrel pipe that is installed horizontally through the dam allow water to flow out safely through the earth dam section. The trash rack that sits on top of the vertical riser forces water in the pond to flow underneath it which prevents trash and floating debris from blocking the opening of the riser.
Our permanent Pond riser structures are custom designed and fabricated from a corrugated aluminum pipe and other aluminum components which have excellent corrosion resistance. We supply aluminum flanged joints for all outlet barrel pipes that pass through the dam section ensuring a watertight and restrained joint connection, no water out, no soil in, a must in this application. Anti-seep plates that fit between the flange joints are also available along with Water quality orifice relief holes, skimmer adaptors, and aluminum drain gates can be added to your pond riser structure if needed.
Temporary pond riser structures used to capture construction sediment are built from either corrugated galvanized or aluminized steel pipe where long term durability is not a concern.
