HDPE Liner Pipe
High Density Polyethylene Pipe also known as Snap-Tite®
Details
HDPE is a great option for slip lining existing failing culvert pipes. Its ease of installation doesn't require special equipment or assistance, unlike fusion machines and hired technicians – only a simple standardized machine like a backhoe or excavator of few common tools and a couple of laborers are needed to get the job done. It has superior hydraulics with a Manning’s “n” of 0.009 allowing for more outflow which helps compensate for reducing the diameter of the existing host pipe. This pipe is supplied in outside diameters ranging from 10.75" to 63" with standard pipe lengths of 22', shorter and longer lengths are also available. Watertight joints that use elastomeric gaskets are flush to the outer pipe wall matching the pipes outside diameter. When sections are joined, they not only compress the gasket but also interlock creating a restrained joint.
